I have always had an appreciation for beauty - a passion I inherited from my mother who was an interior designer. Years ago I discovered my passion for photography when a photographer I had hired canceled a session I had booked for my children. That same day, determined to have my children's pictures taken, I picked up a camera and took them myself. Happily surprised by the results, I continued to take pictures and soon after began photographing friends' children which led to other referrals. Discovering that photography was something I enjoyed, I enrolled in numerous courses to learn about composition, lighting, and exposure. Soon after Photography By Beth Lightbody was created!

I love what I do and strive to make my clients happy. I am happy to consult with you about your needs and expectations. Each photo session is unique and can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. Newborn photography generally takes between 1 to 3 hours.
